Jean-Francois Champollion (1790-1832) decoded the hieroglyphic alphabet and
became the first Egyptologist.  I visited his tomb located in the Pere Lachaise cemetary in the eastern part of Paris on a Saturday afternoon, on November 26, 1994.   In the Pere Lachaise, there were many obelisk-shaped and pyramid-shaped tombs.
