(1)(2): In the latter half of the first century, the two obelisks were relocated from Egypt to the ruins of the Mausoleum of Augustus.

(3): It once stood near Piazza del Colosseo in Rome.

(4): Where the obelisk was first erected in Rome is unknown.

(5): The obelisk was first brought to Rome and reerected at a mortuary temple of Antinous, a friend of                                 Hadrian, in Rome but its location is unknown.
